Since the release of This Album is Self Titled is less that a week away, we've decided to give you another free track every day until the release on Saturday the 26th July. You can get your mitts on them over on the melodies page.
Due to Little Beard's condition, we've had to postpone our GRV gig in Edinburgh until further notice. Please don't lose too many tears over this as they are impossible to find once they are lost.
If you missed our warm up set at King Tuts earlier this week with the mighty Har Mar Superstar, or feel you need a bigger injection of kazoo love, you can catch us in Glasgow on the 1st of August for a full headline show at the Classic Grand.
Oh yes yes, you can now pop over to the melodies page and put your name on a limited edition copy of This Album is Self Titled, complete with crayon and colouring booklet! All pre-orders will be sent out a couple days prior to the official release date to ensure you get it on time.
King Tuts Wah Wah Hut have just confirmed us as the support act for Har Mar Superstar's visit to Glasgow on the 9th July. Tickets are Ģ8 and are available from Ticketmaster or at the bar. Also warming up the stage is Kevin J MacLean

Without the hi-tech internal central heating system us homosapians have, the wickerman gets mighty cold through the winter, so cold it makes him shiver. Which means, he needs a good warming up else he might not light on fire at the Wickerman Festival due to his deep frosting. What better way to defrost this icon of good times than to invite all his friends down to a small venue in Dumfries-shire with some rockin' bands?
The official Wickerman Festival Warm Up Party will take place at 8pm on the 18th July at The Basement in Annan, dumfries-shire. And by the way, you're invited!!!
We've been asked to rock sweaty frock and help warm up the wickerman along with Rodan and Stars of Track & Field. Be sure to bring your mates and anything you think might help de-ice the beast, maybe a scarf or two, some deep heat perhaps? Tickets are Ģ5.

Have you ever had a tea party with a cosmonaut in the pale moonlight of a suburban city? Well thatīs not even close to the sheer awe you will feel when you inhale your own excitement at a party made exclusively for you and a bunch of other people!
On the 30th of July at a magical venue in Edinburgh named The GRV, we will be unleashing small parcels of joy and sucking back on our musical bubble pipes, bringing you hot music from our new album and some golden old classics for you to get all nostalgic with and party like itīs 2007.
The evening will also feature music from Dick Dangerous and the Love Bastards who have been carefully selected to rock your frocks off! Fancy dress is encouraged. In fact, according to some sources fancy dress is purely dependent upon the humans size. So please take that into account when boarding the rocket ship.

Rick Fulton wrote a rather touching review of Midnight Finger Painter in today's Daily Record. For those who can't get their hands on a copy, here's what was said:
"Imagine the craziness if Beck, Bjork, Mika and Flavor Flav decided to form a band and you've stepped inside the mind of The Kazoo Funk Orchestra.
Despite the Funk in the name, this isn't some awful Seventiesinfused Afro-wearing combo. There's more hip hop, Talking Heads and Depeche Mode than Earth, Wind & Fire in the KFO.
The 25 songs that make up the Glaswegian nine-piece indie pop group last for only a minute or two and titles include A Swatch O' The Happenins, Fire In My Fungus, Roasted Underbelly and Keep Your Hard Hat On.
But there's brilliance in the bizarre: The art rock of Rustle The Trees, the Joy Division meets Kraftwerk of She's A Little Angel, the Linkin Park of Information In Formation. And are there kazoos? Oh yes."

We've been nominated for an Indy Award by the good folks at the Wickerman Festival. We'd like to take a moment to step sideways and clap, coz that's how we celebrate good things. If you'd like to show some support for us you can also step sideways and clap, we'd like that.
Can you imagine the surprise when we stumbled across the Jockrock Poll results and noticed that we had came in 3rd for Best Live Act behind Aereogramme and Biffy Clyro? We didn't even know we had been nominated, this is lovely news. Thanks to everyone who voted for us and who came out to our shows. We promise to make 2008 even more magical!

Cheeto was out washing the bucket of invisible handshakes today when Figmun received an electronic telegram informing us of the news. Suddenly the bucket disappeared and all that was left was note that read, "take a trip along the zig zag path and you'll meet a man named Jeff", Cheeto and Figmun had no idea what this meant, so they quickly made a sandwich and spotted this rather tasty write up about us on the fantastic Totally Free Music blog.
